Cultural diversity in a relationship

This movie is based on a true story and the personal experiences of the movie director. The movie portrays several cultural stereotypes that support the notion that Italians and Norwegians behave differently in a relationship.

As described in the movie Norwegian girls have a distinct preference for Mediterranean men! Yep...I confirm!

Here is some quotes:

" I was told again and again how much they would like to live in countries like Greece and Spain where they flock on holiday. And many women - a startling number of whom would give your average supermodel a run for her money - have a distinct preference for Mediterranean men."

- "The most beautiful girls here will sleep with any Greek waiter or Spanish taxi driver," said Per Andre, a 33-year-old teacher. He says they are haunted by the belief their lives are dull and they do, indeed, inhabit Blandinavia

Hi,

Isn't it, as often said, just a matter of fact that these Norwegian "more reserved girls" see the French, Italian, Spanish or any other Southern-European man as such attractive because they are so different and opposite as themselves and the men in their own country? They often associate these expressive Southern-European man with their feeling of hollidays, romance and pleasure. But after some time the holliday feeling is over and real life will take its place again....I have seen many break-ups between mixed couples of Northern and Southern European countries because of the great cultural differences...
However, mixed couples are possible, as a Swedish girl I have been married to my Greek lover for almost 20 years now! :-)
